RENEWING THE ORGANIC CERTIFICATION OF OUR SEED PLANTS

In early spring 2022, Ecocert renewed the organic certification of our seed plant in Beaufort-en-Vallée, Maine-et-Loire (49). This site works in particular with maize and vegetable seeds.

In particular, the factory auditor praised the quality of the certificate controls, the traceability of batches and the follow-up of the cleaning of industrial chains.
The audit involves random sampling of batches, a process control from the field production to the finished products and a batch traceability control. 

The renewing of the certification depends on many criteria, for example: 

• Seed production: working with propagating farmers certified organic for the concerned species. 
• Plant: isolating the storage of organic seeds in specific places and protect them from any pollution (non-organic seeds). 
• Plant: having process lines dedicated for organic seeds: from sorting to bagging.

Our industrial site of Cissé in Vienne (86) had obtained the renewing of his organic certificate last December.
The organic certification must be renewed every year for each of our industrial sites. It rewards the constant attention of our teams and our quality policy.
