Consistent and high performances under Mediterranean type climate:

• SANDY is productive all year long (winter active) and well adapted to frequent cutting thanks to its vigorous regrowth ability.
• TEQUILLA demonstrated its high yielding potential at offical trials in Portugal (119.4% vs. reference). The variety performed well on dry as well as irrigated conditions.
• Yield is secured and consistent thanks to their growth cycles that are complementary and to the varieties morphology (early growth and upright habit for SANDY, semi-upright habit for TEQUILLA). In our trials in Spain, SANDY MAX shows high consistency and yields over the years (108% vs. the local reference ARAGON).

Production of a healthy and high-quality forage:

• TEQUILLA is very leafy which results in higher protein content. In our trials in Spain, SANDY MAX shows a high protein production over the years (115% vs. the local reference ARAGON).
• The two varieties are resistant to pests and fungal diseases (TEQUILLA is resistant to verticilium wilt and root rots while SANDY is resistant to most aphids).

Fully suitable for dehydration:

• The complementary morphology of SANDY and TEQUILLA provides an excellent resistance to lodging even when the time interval between two cuts is prolonged.
